When an employer posts a job on CQD, the matching engine runs immediately. Within seconds, it identifies the workers most likely to be a good fit and sends them a push notification. Here's exactly how that process works.
The five matching factors
- 1Proximity — the straight-line distance between the worker's postcode and the job location. Workers within the employer's specified radius are eligible; those outside are excluded.
- 2Service type — the employer specifies what they need (domestic, Airbnb, commercial, EOT, etc.). Only workers who have listed that service type are matched.
- 3Availability — the employer specifies the date and time. Workers who have marked themselves unavailable on that date are excluded.
- 4Rate compatibility — the employer sets a budget range. Workers whose stated rate falls within that range score higher.
- 5Trust level — workers with ID verification, DBS certificates, and training badges score higher in the ranking, all else being equal.
What happens after a match
Matched workers receive a push notification with the job postcode, service type, and time. They can express interest directly from the notification. The employer then sees a ranked list of interested workers and can view their profiles, trust badges, and ratings before making contact.
Workers who respond to match notifications within the first 30 minutes are significantly more likely to be selected. Enable push notifications and keep your availability calendar up to date.
How to improve your match score
- Upload your ID — unlocks the Silver badge and increases your ranking
- Upload a DBS or background check certificate — unlocks the Gold badge
- Complete a partner training course — unlocks the Training Recognised badge
- Keep your availability calendar current — stale availability reduces your match rate
- Set a competitive rate — workers priced significantly above the local average match less frequently
