Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026 · Applies globally — UK GDPR, EU GDPR, PIPEDA (CA), Privacy Act (AU), Privacy Act 2020 (NZ), UAE PDPL

1. Who We Are

CQD New Gen ("we", "us", "our") operates the CQD New Gen cleaning jobs marketplace platform, available at cqdnewgen.ai and as a mobile application. We are the data controller for personal data collected through the platform.

Contact: system@cqdnewgen.ai

2. Data We Collect

Cleaning Professionals: Name, date of birth (age verification), profile photo, postcode/location, service categories, availability, hourly rate, DBS status, accreditations, uploaded ID documents, selfie (ID verification), and any information you add to your profile description.

Employers: Name, contact details, postcode/location, service requirements, and any information submitted in the requirements form.

All Users: Browser type, device type, IP address, language preference, pages visited, and interaction data collected via analytics (where consent is given).

Billing Data (advertising partners only): CQD New Gen is free for cleaning professionals and job posters — we never ask them for payment details. If you are a business partner buying brand advertising, we process payment method type, billing region and mandate reference (for Direct Debit). We do not store full card numbers — payment processing is handled by our payment provider.

Voice Input (optional): When you use voice search on our cleaner map, your browser's Web Speech API processes your voice locally on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio to our servers. Only the text transcript generated by your browser is used, and only to populate the search box. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your browser settings, and you can always type your search instead.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To match cleaning professionals with employers based on location, availability, and criteria
  • To display worker profiles on the platform and map
  • To process advertising-partner payments and manage Direct Debit mandates (business partners only — never cleaners or job posters)
  • To send notifications about matches and connections (and, for advertising partners, billing status)
  • To verify age (18+ requirement) and identity (ID verification)
  • To comply with legal obligations including anti-money laundering and modern slavery requirements
  • To improve the platform and user experience (with consent)

4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK/EU GDPR)

  • Contract: Processing necessary to provide the platform service
  • Legal obligation: Age verification, right to work checks, modern slavery compliance
  • Legitimate interests: Platform security, fraud prevention, improving the service
  • Consent: Analytics, marketing communications (where applicable)

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only as follows:

  • Matched employers/workers: Contact details are shared only after mutual acceptance of a connection
  • Payment processors: Advertising-partner billing data is shared with our payment provider (Stripe) for processing
  • Legal authorities: Where required by law, court order, or to prevent fraud or harm
  • Service providers: Hosting (Vercel, Supabase), email (Resend), and analytics (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity) providers acting as data processors under appropriate agreements. See the Cookies & Analytics section below for details.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. International Data Transfers

CQD New Gen operates globally. Your data may be processed in the UK, EU, US, UAE, or other countries. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent).

7. Data Retention

  • Active profiles: retained while your account is active
  • Ended advertising contracts: billing records retained for 7 years (legal/tax requirement)
  • ID verification documents: retained for 12 months after account closure, then securely deleted
  • Analytics data: retained for 26 months (Google Analytics default)

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the following rights:

  • UK (UK GDPR / ICO): Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent. Complaints to the ICO: ico.org.uk
  • Ireland / EU (GDPR): Same rights as UK GDPR above. Irish users may contact the Data Protection Commission: dataprotection.ie
  • Canada (PIPEDA): Access and correction rights. You may withdraw consent for non-essential processing at any time. Complaints to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner: priv.gc.ca
  • Australia (Privacy Act 1988): Access and correction rights. Complaints to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: oaic.gov.au
  • New Zealand (Privacy Act 2020): Access and correction rights. Complaints to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner NZ: privacy.org.nz

  • California (CCPA/CPRA): Know, delete, opt-out of sale (we do not sell data), correct, and non-discrimination rights.

To exercise any of your rights, email system@cqdnewgen.ai. We will respond within 30 days (or within the statutory period required by your jurisdiction).

8a. Voice Input & Microphone Data

Where voice input is used: Voice input is now limited to the optional voice search on our cleaner map. It is never required — you can always type your search instead. We no longer offer a voice-driven profile builder; profiles are completed by form, or with help from an agent over WhatsApp if you choose to contact us there.

How voice search works: It uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API (provided by your browser vendor — e.g. Google Chrome, Apple Safari). When you tap the microphone button:

  • Your browser requests microphone access — you must explicitly grant this permission.
  • Audio is processed locally by your browser or by your browser vendor's speech recognition service (e.g. Google's servers for Chrome). CQD New Gen does not receive or store your audio.
  • Only the text transcript produced by your browser is used, and only to populate the map search box.
  • The transcript is treated exactly like a search term you had typed yourself.

Lawful basis: Processing of voice transcript data is based on your explicit consent (given when you grant microphone access for a search) and is necessary to perform the service you requested (running your search). You may withdraw consent at any time by revoking microphone access in your browser settings.

Third-party speech processing: Chrome and some other browsers send audio to Google's servers for speech recognition. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not ours. If you prefer fully local processing, use Firefox with a compatible speech engine, or use the text input instead.

Contacting us on WhatsApp: If you tap "Talk to our agent", you leave our site and open WhatsApp. Anything you send there is processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy, and we receive the messages you choose to send us. Do not send payment card details or identity documents over WhatsApp.

No voice recording: CQD New Gen does not record, store, or retain any audio. We have no access to your microphone outside of an active voice input session.

9. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential platform functionality and, with your consent, for analytics and product improvement. You can manage your preferences via the cookie banner on the site at any time.

Analytics & product-improvement tools we use (with your consent):

  • Google Tag Manager: a tag-management container used to load the analytics tools below. It does not itself collect personal data but enables the tags listed here.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): measures aggregate site usage — pages visited, device/browser type, approximate location (from IP, which Google truncates), and interaction events — to help us understand traffic and improve the service. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): a behavioural-analytics tool that captures session recordings and heatmaps — how visitors move, scroll, click and interact with pages — so we can find and fix usability problems. Clarity automatically masks text you type, form-field contents, and other sensitive data by default, so it does not capture passwords, payment details, or the content of what you enter. Microsoft may also use this data per its own terms. Governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Learn more about Clarity and cookies.

These analytics tools load only after you give consent via our cookie banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Lawful basis: consent (UK/EU GDPR). We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across unrelated third-party sites, and we do not sell your data.

10. Children's Privacy

CQD New Gen is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately at system@cqdnewgen.ai.

11. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. ID verification documents are stored securely and access is strictly limited.

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
